Cost of Ministerial credit card OIA confirmed

Costs incurred in compiling and releasing information in respect of the Official Information Act requests for credit card transactions for Ministers, dating from April 2003 until February 2010, have today been released by the Department of Internal Affairs.
The information has been released specifically to OIA requestors today says Janice Calvert, General Manager Executive Government Support, for the Department of Internal Affairs.
“The Department can confirm the estimated total cost incurred in compiling and releasing information is $61,000,” says Janice Calvert.
The cost is comprised of the following:
Direct staff costs | $16,000 |
Indirect staff costs | $22,000 |
Printing costs | $23,000 |
Total: | $61,000 |
“The direct staff costs is for contracted staff specifically engaged to work on collating the information pertinent to the Official Information Act request, while the indirect cost is an estimate based on the proportion of time departmental staff worked on the preparing the information for release,” says Janice Calvert.
