The Lottery National Community Committee will receive $10,800,000 to distribute to communities this year.

On July 1 this year, Lottery Community Committees replaced the committees formerly specialising in Youth, Welfare, and Seniors, and a General distribution committee.

National committees will be maintained for Environment and Heritage, Marae Heritage and Facilities, Health Research and the Lottery Minister’s Discretionary Fund.

Lottery Grants Board funding is a direct result of lottery proceeds after prizes have been awarded – the running of lotteries and the distribution of prizes is the work of the New Zealand Lotteries Commission.
