Consultation on Fire and Emergency New Zealand Dispute Resolution Scheme open until 30 May 2019
16 May 2019 (updated from 23 April 2019)
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) has commenced public consultation on its proposed Statutory Dispute Resolution Scheme.
The purpose of the scheme is to enable organisations, members of the public and Fire and Emergency volunteer firefighters to raise and resolve disputes relating to the delivery of FENZ’s services and processes.
The consultation document details the proposed scheme and how to have your say here: https://fireandemergency.nz/public-consultation/
Make a written submission to FENZ by 5pm 30 May 2019.
The Department of Internal Affairs is responsible for the legislation in which FENZ operates. This includes the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017, which requires FENZ to develop a disputes resolution scheme. The Department of Internal Affairs is also responsible for monitoring FENZ under the Crown entities framework. We encourage members of the public to provide feedback to FENZ on its Dispute Resolution Scheme.
