Time is running out to apply for Lottery funding

18/10/2006

Applications for Lottery funding in your area close on 1 November 2006.

Lottery Regional Community distribution committees urge community groups wanting to apply for Lottery funding to do so now as time is running out for this year’s funding round.

A total of 11 Lottery Regional Community distribution committees spread throughout New Zealand make grants for projects that help build strong sustainable communities.

Lottery Regional Community priorities include projects with a community or social service focus, such as developmental or preventative projects, welfare and support services, and projects that help improve the well-being of people in the community.

Administered by the Department of Internal Affairs the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board distributes the profits from New Zealand Lotteries.

Lottery funding advisors in 16 regional offices throughout the country are available to answer questions about applying for Lottery funds.

Applications for Lottery funding can be made online at www.cdgo.govt.nz or you can request a paper based application form by contacting the Department of Internal Affairs on freephone 0800 824 824.
