Details of the Visit to Wellington and Dunedin by Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall

Details of The Royal Couple’s visit to Wellington and Dunedin on 4 and 5 November are below:
Wednesday 4 November
2.20pm: The Royal Couple arrive at RNZAF Air Movements Terminal at Wellington Airport where they will be met by the Prime Minister, Rt Hon John Key and Bronagh Key and Her Worship the Mayor of Wellington Celia Wade-Brown and Alistair Nicholson.
3.40pm: Ceremonial Welcome at Government House.
4.10pm: Wreath Laying Ceremony at the National War Memorial and unveiling of Commonwealth Walkway Plaque.
This will be the main opportunity for members of the public to see the Royal Couple in Wellington. After the private Wreath Laying Ceremony in the Hall of Memories, the Royal Couple will lay a fern on the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, and will then walk to ANZAC Square to unveil a Commonwealth Walkway Plaque.
6.15pm: State Reception at Government House.
Thursday 5 November
10.20am: His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales will visit Tawa College to see musical performances and sport demonstrations.
10.30am: Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Te Whaea to meet drama and dance students.
11.40am: The Royal Couple travel to Dunedin.
1.15pm: The Royal Couple arrive at Mosgiel Railway Station and board the Taieri Gorge Railway train.
1.45pm: The Royal Couple arrive at Dunedin Railway Station and walk to Toitu Otago Settlers Museum. This will be the main opportunity for members of the public to see the Royal Couple in Dunedin.
At Toitu The Royal Couple will meet with descendants of Otago’s earliest settlers in the Smith Gallery.
2.50pm: His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales will visit Animation Research to learn about innovation and entrepreneurship in Dunedin.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall will attend a Literature Event at the University of Otago in recognition of Dunedin’s status as a UNESCO City of Literature.
4.00pm: The Royal Couple will visit Orokonui Ecosanctuary where Prince Charles will give a brief address to environmental groups in recognition of Conservation Week.
5.35pm: The Royal Couple return to Wellington.
