Daylight Saving Ends Sunday 20 March

8/3/2005

New Zealand Daylight Time will end on Sunday 20 March 2005 when 3.00am becomes 2.00am.

People may find it convenient to put their clocks back by one hour before going to bed on Saturday 19 March. This is also an opportune time to check smoke alarms.

Daylight Saving Time begins every year on the first Sunday in October and runs through until the third Sunday in March the following year. The annual time adjustment is made every year under the Daylight Time Order 1990.

Daylight Saving Time will begin again on Sunday 2 October 2005.
